YouTube TVs new deal with Sinclair RSNs(like FSSW), means a lot of people now won't get them anymore.
I would suggest getting NHL.tv but they're still doing local blackouts despite lifting the national blackout restriction.
Blackouts are such a relic now. They should get rid of them.
That's not an NHL thing, up to congress same with TV channel disputes, old outdated laws. Since 2016 they've wanted to update/eliminate them but nothing gets done
In 2017 they allowed even in local markets people to watch national broadcasts for the first round.
This year it's different because all teams didn't play enough games to collect on RSN deals so that's why the local broadcasts for qualifying/round robin and first round.
Yes it's absurd someone 15 miles from Twin Cities is out of market now from Fox Sports North, so the person no longer gets it and got rid of YouTube TV. That's the new deal Sinclair for the Fox Sports (RSNs) channels signed with YouTube this spring.
They figure they'll cut the staff by 50% on all RSNs, only the home team will provide the broadcast, where the broadcasters won't travel anymore.
