I’m most hopeful for Hintz. This would be three days to recover for him.
I got a ranch in downtown Dallas/I buy diamonds by the ton/Chase cuties in my Cadillac/Drill oil wells just for fun/But when it comes to boots, I need a deal/That will fit me right, toe to heel/So I get my boots at Western Warehouse.

I for one would love to see Robertson get a shot over one of Caamano or Dowling now.
That Hanzal's so hurt right now.

I’m not convinced Caamano or Dowling have played yet.

Sekera has easily been the best Worst Defenseman we've had since Ludwig.
That said, I'd much rather see Harley or Fedun or Gleason up next season.

A guy like Dellendrea could make a huge impact. Not injured, super fast, scores critical goals, kills penalties.
But I suppose 9 minutes of Dowling is also acceptable.

Harley? He was not very good the little bit we saw him.

He played like 7 minutes. Sekera's first 7 minutes made him look like Jeff Woywitka.

Yes, Sekera was terrible in that first game six weeks ago. He's been fine since considering his very limited role.

TB’s relentless forecheck is making all our D look pretty bad. 90% of our zone exits are just flipping the puck up the boards and hoping a forward is there.

Sekera scored in the the Winter Classic, he delivered the assist in game 7 OT against Colorado. He's a man of big occasions.
We will definitely need him to score the game 7 winning goal.

And he kills penalties, which the Stars take too many.

It’s been important as well with Oleksiak taking half the team’s penalties in this series.

Sekera was bad in the regular season. In the playoffs he's been everything I'd want out of a third pairing dman.
Also, if we didn't have Sekera then Polak would be playing. What a disaster he would've been against Colorado and Tampa.

The supposedly invincible best team in hockey outscored us by three total goals over six games. One or two goals from our top line (again, over six games... a regular season 12 goal pace) would've made this an Amazing Upset.

It sucks, but the injuries really did mount up to be too much to overcome I think.

This, and the vanishing of the first line along with Gurianov.
Coldly, I'm not disappointed, some sort of half-Cinderella run given the circumstances. I was sure to be asswiped by the Flames, then by Colorado, then by Vegas, and finally we were so close, but so far away.

The Stars were better than TB in game 1. That's it. They managed, probably thru their defensive scheme to stay competitive, but they were not the better team in any of games 2-6. Coulda woulda shoulda doesn't mean better.

This was posted prior to Game 5's third period + OT. He ended up finishing the playoffs 3rd all time with 744 saves.
